Just because you live or are visiting the concrete jungle of New York City doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy some zen relaxation outdoors, surrounded by nature. Indoor/Outdoor gardens have been popping up all over the city, and here are some of our favorites for spring:
The mission of CEO and Grupo Gitano Founder James Gardner is to share love happiness, surprise delight guests, minimize their impact while giving back to the community.
Walk under the wooden pergola with the neon pink sign, and you enter the gorgeous 450-seat, high-vibe, outdoor sustainable GITANO restaurant. Spanning a 24,000 square foot city block, Gitano will transfer you to the lush, tropical jungle of Tulum. Sip creative cocktails like the Gitano Margarita and The Garden Rose under 30-foot coconut palms while lounging in a Bedouin tent, and nosh on light bites prepared over an open fire. Under the care of Head Bartender Jeremy Strawn (Mulberry Project, Death Co.) fresh juices will be made daily to go with local seasonal ingredients and herbs, as well as a list of over 50+ Mezcals.
GITANO Garden of Love, 76 Varick Street, NY, NY

The beautiful cocktail menu includes the ‘Bouquet’ cocktail (served in a verdant terrarium vessel with live greenery framing the drink), ‘You Had Me at Hibiscus’, a refreshing spritzer made with limoncello, hibiscus syrup, Prosecco, and garnished with edible Hibiscus and flower petals, and ‘Lavender Reign’, a mixture of gin, lime, violet liqueur, St. Germain Elderflower, simple syrup, Lavender bitters, aqua fava, and topped with lavender sprig and violet flower, among others.
